Hey there,

Thanks so much for your reply Erwin - and I'd like to apologise for the downtime the K8055 iOS Bridge Service has suffered in recent weeks. I have been extremely busy with university and other work and I have let it slip, partly in frustration with the problems of piracy I documented in this post.

I will be moving the K8055 iOS Bridge Service to a new server this weekend (hopefully) and that should improve the performance and get us better uptime.

I have promised a lot to the very kind people that have purchased K8055 iOS Bridge and right now I'm not exactly delivering - I hope to change that, in the short term with better service and in the long term with updates and upgrades.

With the crackers, we will never be free of them, they will always cause more problems, but we'll be ready to code solutions and better security, stronger protection schemes and the like. We can't give in.

Thanks again for your kind words and support!

Dear Damian,

I understand your frustration, and can not agree more with what you wrote. I only want to let you know that there are also people that do not use illegal software and pay for it. I was using your application for about half a year now, and see that the server is not accessible anymore, I am not sure it it has to do with your frustration, but, I believe that people who do support the developers, also have the right to be able to use what they paid for.

I also wished hackers were not existing, the same as in real life, where I wished that people respected other peoples property and possessions, but we all know it is not like this. So, people that do pay for the software, can not help that hackers take advantage of you, protection is only possible on the developer side.

You created a very nice app, and I hope I still can use it for a long time. Keep it up, and try to stay ahead of those crackers,

All the best

a satisfied user of your app, who paid for it,

Hi - I suppose the limitations were that it was a cheatable program - there are numerous programs around online that you can enter the letters of a Boggle grid in to and they will give you the best words - because it was completely unsupervised by humans, the scoring was all down to honesty.

In terms of the best capabilities - I guess the Peer-2-Peer aspect was nice - it meant that (technically) you could throw the game up on any network without a machine dedicated to hosting games (like Call of Duty or something) - and if the person currently hosting decided they were bored and left, the game would automatically migrate over to another player and they would become the host.
